Whether you're a committed vegan or vegetarian, plant-curious or just looking for something fun to do on the weekend, you won't want to miss this year's Planted Expo.
The sprawling indoor show is a plant-based foodie's dream come true, and it's set to once again take over the Enercare Centre, from March 23–24.
There's lots to get excited about at this plant-based bonanza. You'll be introduced to the latest innovations in animal-free products, and enjoy delicious deals on faves you might already recognize from your weekly shopping list.
More than 200 food, lifestyle and wellness brands — including a few of our favourite Toronto vegan restaurants — eagerly welcome you to their stands.
Snack on tasty samples, or peruse products for purchase. In between sips and bites, catch one of the informative and inspirational speakers lined up to present at the expo. Headliners include Dr. Michael Greger, Nimai Delgado, Dough McNish, Vikki Lenola and Robert Cheeke, among other leaders in the plant-based and wellness world.
Dr. Michael Greger
We attended last year and loved chatting with the small business owners and learning about their plant-based philosophies. The ticket is a great value — we were impressed with how many vegan goodies we could try, from pastries, cookies and hot sauce to chocolate, kombucha and non-alcoholic spirits.
A live podcast by Dr. Michael Greger promises to be a highlight. Dr. Greger recently starred in Netflix documentaries Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones and You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment, and will make an appearance for a meet and greet, book signing and discussion about nutrition and longevity.
