Co-owned by a Canadian-Filipino husband and wife duo, Parkdale restaurant Islas Filipino BBQ & Bar specializes in dishes inspired by the Philippines. While the country was occupied by Spain for more than 300 years, the Spanish influenced the island nation’s cuisine, resulting in dishes like the beef kaldereta.
